Bayou Roberts Cooperative was officially organized by a group of local producers in 1959 and was formerly chartered by the State of Louisiana as an agricultural cooperative in November of 1961. The original Board of Directors consisted of ten directors who were to serve until the first annual meeting of the cooperative.
The history of this cooperative has evolved with changing agricultural interests many times throughout its existence. Initially serving dairy producers, Bayou Roberts Cooperative has evolved to serve cattle producers, row-crop producers, dairy, catfish, horse owners, pet owners, and general farm and ranch customers.
Our motto is “The people who know how to make things grow”, exemplifying our commitment to serving our customer base not only high-quality products but with the added knowledge of knowing how to best utilize those products. We strongly believe that the cheapest products are not always the best, and we strive to show our customers the added value of quality products. Our current line of products includes bulk and bagged feeds, bulk and bagged fertilizers, chemicals for row-crop, pasture and home and garden, spray equipment, fencing products, forage seeds, and garden seeds, twines and new wraps, batteries and tires, and animal health vaccines and wormers.
